A basketball academy in Madrid with training, school and residence
Spanish Basketball Academy (SBA) is an international high-performance basketball academy in Alcorcón (Madrid). Training, studies and accommodation come together in one place, so players only have to think about getting better.
What’s included. Our main program, the Elite Season Program, adds up to more than 20 hours of training per week: team practices, skills sessions, individual work tailored to each position and specific shooting training. Players have unlimited access to the court, the gym and the shooting machine, plus strength and conditioning, recovery and injury prevention sessions.
Who coaches. The program is led by coaches with experience developing NBA and EuroLeague players. Strength and conditioning is designed by José Moreno, a certified strength and conditioning coach, and the health and recovery area is led by Dr. Juan Carlos Martínez, who has spent more than two decades working with NBA and EuroLeague players.
Where they study. Each family chooses between three options: American International School, bilingual and with an official US diploma; a Spanish school with a bilingual program; or an online international school to follow their own country’s education system. We also offer SAT and TOEFL preparation.
Where they live. Players stay at the academy residence: shared rooms with private bathroom, heating and air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a study room, a lounge and an on-site physiotherapist. The dining hall serves Mediterranean-inspired menus adapted to athletes.
Other options. If you are looking for something shorter, ProCamp is an intensive training camp with one-week sessions in summer (accommodation included) and a five-day session at Christmas, and individualized basketball training offers one-to-one sessions all year round.
